How to use the daily planetary transit player
Select a year, press play, or choose an exact date from the calendar. Each animation step represents one day. The table below the charts gives the same data in a precise format, including degrees within the sign, absolute longitude, nakshatra, pada, daily speed and motion state.
The circular wheel places 0° Aries at the top and increases longitude clockwise. It is the clearest view for studying exact angular distance. Turn on motion trails when you want to follow a selected planet across several recent days.

The North Indian chart keeps the twelve houses fixed and rotates signs from the selected ascendant. The South Indian chart keeps zodiac signs fixed in their traditional cells and rotates house numbers so the chosen ascendant becomes House 1.
Both charts offer House Jump for a compact sign-and-house layout and Continuous motion for showing each planet’s progress from 0° to 30°. The ascendant selectors are manual; for personal interpretation, use the ascendant from an accurately calculated birth chart.
Zodiac signs, nakshatras and padas explained
The sidereal zodiac contains twelve signs of 30° each. Vedic astrology also divides the full circle into twenty-seven nakshatras, or lunar mansions, measuring 13°20′ each. Every nakshatra contains four padas of 3°20′.
The sign describes the broader field of expression. The nakshatra gives a finer layer of symbolism and motivation, while the pada narrows the position further. Watching all three together reveals details that a sign-only transit list can miss.
Direct, retrograde, stationary and combust planets
A direct planet advances through zodiac longitude. A retrograde planet appears to move backward from Earth, while a stationary planet is changing direction so slowly that its daily motion is almost zero. The player derives these states from consecutive daily positions and animates the correct direction across 0° Aries.
A small C marks planets within the configured combustion distance from the Sun. The Moon and lunar nodes are not treated as combust here. No single condition should be interpreted in isolation.
